Alkaline Systems
HyperCellX alkaline systems are engineered for low capital cost, low operating cost, high system efficiency, and excellent turndown capability. The technology delivers high-purity hydrogen and oxygen directly from the stack.
The platform is based on a zero-gap, pressurized electrochemical architecture with a modular design that enables scaling from kilowatt-scale systems to multi-megawatt installations. Both system voltage and operating current are engineered per application, allowing each system to be optimized for performance, efficiency, and integration requirements rather than built as a fixed, standardized product.
All systems are engineered, designed, and manufactured in Colorado Springs, USA.

AEM Systems
HyperCellX offers anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolyzer systems for modular, rapidly deployable hydrogen generation applications where flexibility and advanced digital control are priorities.
The AEM platform is based on Enapter's standardized electrolyzer technology and supports scalable hydrogen production with automated operation, remote monitoring, and fleet level management.
HyperCellX delivers complete AEM based hydrogen systems by integrating the electrolyzer technology with balance of plant, controls, safety systems, and downstream processing.

Hybrid Systems
HyperCellX hybrid electrolyzer systems combine alkaline hydrogen production with AEM or PEM technology to optimize performance across dynamic operating conditions. These systems are designed to balance cost and output pressure with fast system response, maximizing efficient integration with variable renewable power and downstream demand profiles.
The hybrid architecture uses alkaline systems for high efficiency steady state hydrogen production, while AEM or PEM modules provide rapid ramping, load following, and transient response. System level controls coordinate operation across technologies to optimize efficiency, stack utilization, and overall system lifetime.
Hybrid systems are fully engineered by HyperCellX, including balance of plant, controls, safety systems, and downstream integration, and are configured per application to meet specific performance, operational, and economic requirements.
Electrolyzer FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
We engineer and manufacture zero-gap alkaline electrolyzer stacks, core components, and balance of plant systems at our Colorado Springs, USA facility, which is ASME-certified.
We utilize five primary stack diameters:
- Model 8 — 150 A DC
- Model 12 — 350 A DC
- Model 17 — 780 A DC
- Model 22 — 1600 A DC
- Model 29 — 2600 A DC
Amperage is defined by stack diameter. Power and voltage is adjusted by plate count. This modular platform enables repeatable scaling without redesigning the stack core.
Yes. Standardized configurations will be available for direct purchase from our website. However, most systems are engineered per application with a full turnkey EPC scope.
Stack efficiency at 100% capacity (BOL): 49.5 kWh/kg H2
Up to 17 bar for Alkaline systems. 30 bar Alkaline systems are in development. 35 bar for AEM or PEM systems.
Minimum turndown per stack: 25%. System-level turndown can be reduced further through multi-stack configuration.
Systems are engineered in accordance with applicable U.S. and international codes and standards. Primary standards include ISO 22734, NFPA 2, and ASME Section VIII. Additional electrical, hazardous area classification, venting, CGA, and jurisdictional requirements are incorporated where required.
All systems are manufactured in Colorado Springs, USA, in an ASME-certified facility. ASME Section VIII, Div 1 & Div 2.
Yes. We provide complete hydrogen production systems including renewable integration, gas purification and drying, storage, compression, and dispensing. Projects range from electrolyzer supply to full EPC turnkey hydrogen production plants.
